Wood fence can be a bit pricey, and the up-keep a bit overwhelming, but the outcome is worth it.
We use western red cedar on all of our wood fencing, with the exception of round rail fence, which is pine.
We recommend that you treat your wood fence every year for the first three years, then every third year after that. We suggest you use shingle oil on the fence to keep it looking like new! It comes in a 5 gallon bucket which covers 100' of solid wood fence, or 200' of split rail fence. You can brush it on, roll it on, or use a sprayer to effortlessly coat the fence.
